Oh, Japan – I miss the memories…taking trips with my family, growing up there – amongst the sakura trees, the real sushi and other excellent facets of cuisine, the train excursions and gorgeous shopping malls…and last, but not least, “kawaii” cars.
Yes, it’s true. In Japan, you can BUY a pink car! You see, those first two pictures above are the Honda Fit – a car that was very popular in Japan, then made its way to America. I remember the first announcements about it, and was even an e-mail subscriber for updates, with hopes that the pink would be released…to no such luck! I waited, and waited, and still, no pink cars in sight.
(4) I would even take that silvery pink of the Toyota Vitz!
I definitely think people would buy pink cars in America if they were available, so I am not really sure why they aren’t made, or offered as an option. The only reason I can really think of is maybe Mary Kay blocked all pink car sales so their Caddy stands out more?
I actually was behind one of those Pink Cadillacs the other day, and I do have to admit I felt pretty jealous…but, not jealous enough to participate in their program though I was pretty intrigued when I Googled it to learn more.
Sigh – so I suppose I’ll leave my dreams there, and opt for some more subtle options for my next vehicle, though I am not giving up hope yet! Have you seen any pink (non-customized) vehicles around? Would you want one?
